In recent years, the CZ Shadow 2 Handgun has become an increasingly popular choice among top level USPSA competitors, and features an array of upgrades over the original CZ Shadow. This fast shooting, accurate handgun features a slightly longer barrel and slide – this provides a longer sight radius, as well as a little more weight towards the front for reduced recoil and muzzle flip. Like all of CZ’s handguns, the Shadow 2 offers excellent ergonomics. This level of shooter comfort can be attributed to a curved frame designed for a perfect fit in the shooter’s hand, and a tang that extends over the web of hand provides protection from hammer or slide bite. The Shadow 2’s extraordinary ergonomics are perfectly complimented by its low recoil, which is made possible by optimized grip geometry, checkering in key areas of the front and back straps, and a contoured design that focuses reciprocating mass to the centerline of the bore. Other features of the Shadow 2 include an optics ready slide, an extended magazine release with 3 selectable positions, and adjustable sights.

Finally bound for US soil, this variant of the Shadow 2 is pre-cut for an optic plate system to allow the mounting of a red dot sight. Just as the standard Shadow 2 has become the gun of choice for many USPSA Production Division competitors, the Shadow 2 Optics-Ready is ideal for USPSA Carry Optics. Building on the base Shadow 2, the OR has a slightly different slide profile to allow for its optic plate system. The Shadow 2’s swappable mag release has an adjustable, extended button with three settings to allow shooters to set it in the spot most comfortable for them. Best of all, new trigger components give smooth DA and crisp, clean SA while drastically reducing trigger reset. A hardy nitride coats the entire pistol, leaving it nearly impervious to corrosion, while the frame gets an additional layer of our black Polycoat finish. Thin blue aluminum grips have healthy checkering to match the fine front and backstrap checkering of the pistol itself. Sitting atop the slide are a set of target sights — fiber optic on front and a serrated, black HAJO rear (click adjustable for elevation, drift adjustable for windage).
